Walter's death was a result of hostile enemy small arms fire on his position. Walter died that day with 19 other men from A Company.
Walter's religion was Roman Catholic. He was married to Clorina.
He left two sons, Walter and George
Walter is interred C-2-43 on the post cemetery at Fort Benning, Georgia

of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C.
