Terry James Rampulla served as a LCp. - Grade E3 - U.S. Marines -
Regular Enlisted Service .

He was 21 years old at the time of his death.

Terry was born on January 27, 1947 in Phillipsburg, N.J.
to James and Jayne Doyle Rampulla.

His tour of duty in Vietnam started on May 22, 1967.

Terry served with A Company, 1st. Battalion, 9th Marines, 3rd Marine Division.

Terry died on April 16, 1968  in Quang Tri Province, Republic of South Vietnam.

Terry's death was a result of hostile enemy fire upon his position. Terry was a machine gunner with David Floyd. Their position came under heavy enemy fire. When their gun broke, they took shelter in a bomb crater. It was at this time that Terry was shot in the head. This was attested to by David Floyd years later during a meeting with Terry's father. His body was recovered.

Terry's religion was Roman Catholic. He was not married. Terry left his Mother and Father, James John Rampulla and Jayne Leona Doyle Rampulla, a Sister Sharon and her Husband
Lt. Howland S. Davis II, Two Uncles, Nicholas Joseph Rampulla and Charles William Rampulla
a Niece and Nephew .

Terry's name is listed on Panel 50E --- Line 20
of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C.

Richard J. Doyle (1927 - 2015)
Richard J. Doyle, 88, formerly of Easton died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015 at LVH-Muhlenberg. Born Feb.16, 1927 in Easton he was a son of the late Ada (Faust) and Benjamin Doyle. A 1945 graduate of Easton High School, he was a WWII Army veteran.
He had been employed by Maiers Bakery for 24 years before retiring in 1990. He was also employed by Easton Trouser for 23 years and was a member of the Army Blue Devils. He is survived by sons: Daniel and his wife Deborah of Bethlehem, Thomas and his partner Jim Perna of Allentown; daughter: Patricia Howell and her husband Lyle of Northampton, with whom he resided; and 2 grandsons: Jonathan and Darien. His wife Frances (Mondillo) and sister Jane Rampulla died earlier.
Services are 11 AM Monday in Ashton Funeral Home, 1337 Northampton St., Easton with visitation 10 to 11 AM. Interment Northampton Memorial Shrine. Richard, a Brother to Terry’s Mother, Jane was a kind and gentle soul that had great influence on Terry’s life before his death. Loved by all, they are together again.
